The pond-dip at the Turtle Pool near Allestree Hall, organised by FOAP committee member, Pat Sear, went very well. The event was part of the 2014 Derby City Council programme of walks and outdoor activities. The weather was warm and largely sunny, apart from a passing black cloud. The children and adults who came along greatly enjoyed exploring, by means of nets and trays of water, the wonderful array of life-forms which live in the pond.
